{"id":21773,"date":"2015-06-25T08:12:20","date_gmt":"2015-06-25T06:12:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.icac.cat\/en\/services\/documentation-centre-and-library\/presentacio\/"},"modified":"2024-07-10T13:26:34","modified_gmt":"2024-07-10T11:26:34","slug":"presentation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/icac.cat\/en\/services\/documentation-centre-and-library\/presentation\/","title":{"rendered":"Presentation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The ICAC-CERCA\u2019s <strong>Documentation Centre, Library and Open Science<\/strong> has a collection integrated by monographies, journals, audiovisual materials and databases. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Nowadays, its collection has more than 128,000 items and are divided into four large areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bibliographic (20%)<\/li>\n<li>Historical legacies &#8211; iconographic material (53%)<\/li>\n<li>Historical legacies &#8211; textual material (26%)<\/li>\n<li>Administrative archive (4%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This collection include five singular legacies: the Dr Pere de Palol (\u2020) bequest, the personal archive&#8217;s Dr Jordi L\u00f3pez Vilar, Dr Antonio Pe\u00f1a Jurado (\u2020) library, Dr Simon Keay (\u2020) library and the Dr Gustav A. Gamer library and photographic bequest.<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">On the other hand, this department is in charge of promoting the Institute&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/openscience.icac.cat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">open science strategy<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Objectives<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>To manage open science infrastructures: <a href=\"https:\/\/portalrecerca.csuc.cat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Research Portal of Catalonia<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/dataverse.csuc.cat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Repository of Research Data<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/recercat.cat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Recercat<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/dmp.csuc.cat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">eiNa DMP<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>To develop and implement the <a href=\"http:\/\/openscience.icac.cat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">open science strategy<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>To give support the publication and dissemination of research and software data FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable).<\/li>\n<li>To promote open access in scientific production.<\/li>\n<li>To be a point of reference for researchers in the development of their research activity.<\/li>\n<li>To manage and maintain the Institute\u2019s internal documental archive.<\/li>\n<li>To hold the scientific information generated by the researchers.<\/li>\n<li>To safeguard the bibliographic legacies.<\/li>\n<li>To cooperate with the libraries of other institutions specialising in archaeology and to establish bibliographic exchange systems.<\/li>\n<li>To disseminate its publications among the main national and international distributors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The ICAC-CERCA\u2019s Documentation Centre, Library and Open Science has a collection integrated by monographies, journals, audiovisual materials and databases.
