Both working groups emerge from consolidated research teams based at the Catalan Institute of Classical Archaeology: Archaeometry and Artistic Productions (ArPA), larger and more articulated, focused on the study of the exploitation and use of stone materials in antiquity; and Literature, Iconography, and Reception of Antiquity (LIRA), in contrast, has a markedly philological character but with a specialized research line also in the analysis of material, iconographic, papyrological, and epigraphic evidence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This name aims to capture the spirit of two groups that until recently had been working in parallel but with an important point of contact and shared common interest: ancient documentation for archaeological research; and literary sources, epigraphy, papyrology, and iconographic sources.
