Orengo<\/a>\u00a0wins funding from the 2019 competitive call in Digital Humanities\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fbbva.es\/ayudas\/ayudas-equipos-investigacion-cientifica-humanidades-digitales-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ayudas Fundaci\u00f3n BBVA a Equipos de Investigaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfica en Humanidades Digitales 2019<\/a>.<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>Grants for research projects that are the subject of this call respond to the BBVA Foundation&#8217;s commitment to promoting scientific research and its projection to society, as a way of expanding individual and collective opportunities and effectively addressing the main challenges of the century XXI.<\/p>\n<p>In the <strong>Digital Humanities <\/strong>area, research projects must include in a central way:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The application of information technologies and advanced statistical techniques for the treatment of objects typical in the area of humanities.<\/li>\n<li>A humanities approach on new digital objects, and the analysis of the effects of the Internet and the digital space at the cultural level.<\/li>\n<li>Innovative dissemination, through the Web, of objects and the humanities production.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A maximum of <strong>5 grants<\/strong> is awarded, with a maximum gross amount of 75,000 euros for each of them.<\/p>\n<p>The selected ICAC project has been:<\/p>\n<div class=\"highlight-block\">\n<h4><strong>\u00abSmart Archaeological Survey on dron platform (DIASur)\u00bb<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>IP:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/icac.cat\/en\/who-are-we\/staff\/horengo\/\" target=\"_blank\">H\u00e8ctor A. Orengo<\/a>, membre of the GIAP research group (landscape archaeology) at the ICAC.<\/p>\n<p>Team members:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/icac.cat\/en\/who-are-we\/staff\/agarcia\/\" target=\"_blank\">Arnau Garcia-Molsosa<\/a> (ICAC);\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/icac.cat\/en\/who-are-we\/staff\/fcconesa\/\" target=\"_blank\">Francesc C. Conesa<\/a>\u00a0(ICAC);\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/icac.cat\/en\/who-are-we\/staff\/mgeorgiadis\/\" target=\"_blank\">Merkourios Georgiadis<\/a>\u00a0(ICAC);\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/icac.cat\/en\/who-are-we\/staff\/twilkinson\/\" target=\"_blank\">Toby Christopher Wilkinson<\/a>\u00a0(ICAC);\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/icac.cat\/en\/who-are-we\/staff\/paliende\/\" target=\"_blank\">Paloma Aliende<\/a> (ICAC); Iban Berganzo (ICAC).<\/p>\n<p>Funding:\u00a0\u00a074.189.69\u00a0\u20ac<\/p>\n<p>\u2192 <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/giap.icac.cat\/2020\/03\/25\/bbva-foundation-grant-for-diasur\/\" target=\"_blank\">About the project<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><strong>Evaluation Committee in Digital <\/strong><b>Humanities<\/b><\/h6>\n<p>The evaluation committee of this FBBVA call met last March, 24 and, following the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fbbva.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Bases_Ayudas_Equipos_Investigacion_Cientifica_2019.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"> criteria established in the call<\/a>\u00a0decided the five projects to get the funding, among more than 80 applications.<\/p>\n<p>The evaluation committee is been presided by\u00a0<strong>Violeta Demonte<\/strong>, Professor of Spanish at the Autonomous University of Barcelona; and the other members were:\u00a0<strong>Juan Jos\u00e9 Acero<\/strong>, Professor of Logic and Philosophy of Language at the University of Granada;\u00a0<strong>Ignacio Bosque<\/strong>, Professor of Spanish at the Complutense University of Madrid;\u00a0<strong>Isabel Burdiel<\/strong>, Professor of Contemporary History at the University of Valencia;\u00a0<strong>Fernando Checa<\/strong>, Professor of Modern Art History at\u00a0the Complutense University of\u00a0Madrid;\u00a0<strong>Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Fern\u00e1ndez Cardo<\/strong>, Professor of French at the University of Oviedo;\u00a0<strong>Alfonso Garc\u00eda Su\u00e1rez<\/strong>, Professor of Logic and Philosophy of Science at University of Oviedo;\u00a0<strong>Elena Gonz\u00e1lez-Blanco<\/strong>, general-director at CoverWallet Europe;\u00a0<strong>Sagrario L\u00f3pez Poza<\/strong>, Professor of Spanish Literature at the University of La Coru\u00f1a.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A project led by\u00a0H\u00e8ctor A.
