{"id":49168,"date":"2020-10-05T11:17:21","date_gmt":"2020-10-05T09:17:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.icac.cat\/en\/?p=49168"},"modified":"2020-10-05T15:30:41","modified_gmt":"2020-10-05T13:30:41","slug":"icac-launches-a-process-for-creating-a-protocol-for-prevention-and-action-against-workplace-harassment-based-on-sex-gender-or-diversity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/icac.cat\/en\/actualitat\/noticies\/2020\/icac-launches-a-process-for-creating-a-protocol-for-prevention-and-action-against-workplace-harassment-based-on-sex-gender-or-diversity\/","title":{"rendered":"ICAC launches a process for creating a protocol for prevention and action against workplace harassment based on sex, gender or diversity"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6><strong>ICAC Equality Committee leads a process for creating a protocol for the prevention, detection, identification and action in situations of sexual harassment\u00a0at work based on sex, gender or diversity, and other forms of harassment<\/strong>.<\/h6>\n<p>This action is included in the ICAC\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/icac.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Pla-Igualtat-ICAC_v1.2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Action Plan for Equality<\/a>\u00a0(approved\u00a0by the <a href=\"https:\/\/icac.cat\/en\/who-are-we\/institution\/executive-committee\/\" target=\"_blank\">Board of Directors<\/a> in 2017) and responds to the ICAC\u2019s will to\u00a0<strong>ensure gender equality and fight against violence and discrimination\u00a0<\/strong>in both academic and workplace activities.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, it is important to highlight the framework and background of the protocol, which become the starting point of the new initiative that the Institute is now undertaking:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>ICAC&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/icac.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/pla_actuacio.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Action Plan 2014-2020<\/a>\u00a0includes the recommendation of having a comprehensive system of Human Resources Management that includes specific measures and instruments for the care and management of diversity.\u00a0<strong>The promotion of equality policies is an ICAC&#8217;s strategic objective<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-leveltext=\"%1.\" data-font=\"Calibri, Calibri_MSFontService, sans-serif\" data-listid=\"2\" data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"1\">Since 2015, ICAC has had the distinction of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/icac.cat\/en\/who-are-we\/excellence-in-hr\/hr-excellence-in-research\/\" target=\"_blank\">Excellence in\u00a0Human\u00a0Resources<\/a>\u00a0promoted by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.euraxess.es\/spain\/services\/human-resources-strategy-researchers-hrs4r\" target=\"_blank\">Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R)<\/a> of the European Commission.\u00a0The implementation of its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/icac.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/pdf_doc\/rh\/action_plan.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Action Plan<\/a>, which began in 2017, led to the creation of the ICAC Equality Committee, the subsequent\u00a0approval\u00a0of the Action Plan for gender equality, and the implementation of the actions and measures included. One of them, the development of a protocol for the prevention, identification and action against violence and workplace harassment, based on sex, gender or diversity.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"destacat-entrevista dreta\">\n<div class=\"small-text\">\n<p><span class=\"TextRun SCXW170266415 BCX0\" lang=\"ES-ES\" xml:lang=\"ES-ES\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW170266415 BCX0\">The protocol <strong>has a multipurpose perspective, which includes detection, prevention and definition of actions.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>ICAC\u2019s development process of the protocol for the prevention, identification and action against violence and sexual harassment at work\u00a0has\u00a0two\u00a0fundamental dimensions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-leveltext=\"-\" data-font=\"Calibri\" data-listid=\"3\" data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>Training dimension<\/strong>. Focused on members of the ICAC\u2019s Equality Committee. But also with the engagement of other people relevant for the process, such as those responsible for human resources management.
