The Documentation and Library Centre of the ICAC has launched a new website dedicated to open science<\/a>, aiming to facilitate the adoption of open science practices by its research staff.<\/h6>\n

Through this new gate, the ICAC promotes the importance of sharing and managing research data following the FAIR principles<\/a> and provides advice<\/a>, access to tools, and services available to the research community<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For example, from the website, you can consult and download the Research Data Management Protocol of the Catalan Institute of Classical Archaeology (ICAC)<\/a>, approved in 2021, as well as various guides and manuals for developing data management plans, addressing the specific needs of classical archaeology.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the website includes a link to CORA. eiNa DMP<\/a>, which streamlines the creation of data management plans, and CORA. Research Data Repository (CORA.RDR)<\/a>, whose mission is to enhance research efficiency and transparency through rapid dissemination of datasets and facilitating their reuse. Both resources are managed by the CSUC<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This initiative is part of the ICAC’s open science strategy<\/a>, which has undertaken several actions since 2018, aiming to contribute to making science more accessible, transparent, inclusive, and equitable<\/strong>, providing benefits to both research staff and the general public.<\/p>\n

The Catalan Institute of Classical Archaeology (ICAC)<\/a> is a CERCA center<\/strong> (Research Centers of Catalonia), established as a consortium in 2003 by the Government of Catalonia and the Rovira i Virgili University. It is headquartered in Tarragona, a city recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2000, and specializes in advanced research and education in classical archaeology.
