{"id":91785,"date":"2024-03-04T09:54:46","date_gmt":"2024-03-04T08:54:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/icac.cat\/?p=91785"},"modified":"2024-03-04T11:42:32","modified_gmt":"2024-03-04T10:42:32","slug":"boosting-innovation-humanities-cerca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/icac.cat\/en\/actualitat\/noticies\/2024\/boosting-innovation-humanities-cerca\/","title":{"rendered":"The plan to boost innovation in social sciences and humanities kicks off with a visit to Leiden University"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6>The plan, aimed at the seven CERCA centers in this field, proposes identifying international challenges and best practices to drive innovation in our environment.<\/h6>\n<p>On February 26th and 27th, a delegation consisting of researchers and transfer managers from the seven CERCA centers in social sciences and humanities (<a href=\"https:\/\/ced.cat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CED<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/crei.cat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> CREI<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibei.org\/ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> IBEI<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/icac.cat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> ICAC<\/a>,<a href=\"http:\/\/www.iphes.cat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> IPHES<\/a>,<a href=\"http:\/\/www.icrpc.cat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> ICRPC<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icp.cat\/index.php\/ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ICP<\/a>) visited Leiden University in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n<p>The main objective of the visit was to personally interview <a href=\"https:\/\/nl.linkedin.com\/in\/jessica-meijer-824a4a27\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr Jessica Meijer<\/a>, Head of Innovation and Business Development at LURIS, the transfer unit of Leiden University.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nl.linkedin.com\/in\/jessica-meijer-824a4a27\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr Meijer<\/a> has been working with the heads of each center during January to prepare an action plan that lays the groundwork and promotes innovation and the impact of these centers on society, incorporating it into their strategic agenda.<\/p>\n<div class=\"highlight-block\">\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/cerca.cat\/iniciatives-cerca\/innovacio-en-ciencies-socials-i-humanitats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">plan to boost innovation in social sciences and humanities<\/a>, aimed at the seven CERCA centers in this field, proposes to identify international challenges and best practices that drive innovation in our environment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/w6j740jLOoY?si=qfYa2CytHY50GAB6\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>During the trip, participants had the opportunity to learn about the operation of <strong>Digital Scholarship<\/strong> specializes in the application of digital technologies in the academic and research fields.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Digital Humanities Lab<\/strong> was also been introduced, a platform that offers advanced equipment and specialized personnel to meet the demands of researchers and students.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/cerca.cat\/iniciatives-cerca\/innovacio-en-ciencies-socials-i-humanitats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">plan to boost innovation in social sciences and humanities<\/a> is part of the <strong>knowledge transfer promotion program of the CERCA System<\/strong>, which began this year with funding from the Directorate General of Transfer and Knowledge Society (Government of Catalonia).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_91767\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-91767\" style=\"width: 790px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/icac.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/iCERCA_pla-innovacio-humanitats_visita-Leiden_febrer-2024-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-91767\" src=\"https:\/\/icac.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/iCERCA_pla-innovacio-humanitats_visita-Leiden_febrer-2024-2-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"790\" height=\"444\" srcset=\"https:\/\/icac.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/iCERCA_pla-innovacio-humanitats_visita-Leiden_febrer-2024-2-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/icac.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/iCERCA_pla-innovacio-humanitats_visita-Leiden_febrer-2024-2-400x225.jpg 400w, https:\/\/icac.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/iCERCA_pla-innovacio-humanitats_visita-Leiden_febrer-2024-2-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/icac.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/iCERCA_pla-innovacio-humanitats_visita-Leiden_febrer-2024-2.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 790px) 100vw, 790px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-91767\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A moment of one of the meetings of the CERCA centers commission during their visit to Leiden University.
