The Catalan Association of Bioarchaeology<\/a> is organizing the VIII Oikos Meeting on Bioarchaeology<\/strong>, conceived as a space for exchanging and disseminating knowledge among individuals interested in bioarchaeological research and the various disciplines it encompasses.<\/p>\n

This year, the event is being held in collaboration with the Catalan Institute of Classical Archaeology (ICAC) in Tarragona. The meeting will take place on April 25 and 26, 2025, at the ICAC headquarters at Pla\u00e7a d\u2019en Rovellat, s\/n, 43003, Tarragona.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

The deadline for submitting communications (title and abstract) is March 7, 2025.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The VIII Oikos Meeting on Bioarchaeology<\/strong><\/a> includes two keynote lectures and presentations on topics related to bioarchaeology. This edition features keynote speakers Dr. Allowen Evin (Institut des Sciences de l’Evolution, Montpellier) and Dr. Jo\u00e3o Pedro Vicente Tereso (Centro de Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o em Biodiversidade e Recursos Gen\u00e9ticos, Portugal).<\/p>\n

Each registered participant can submit only one communication as the first author. The official language of the meeting is Catalan, but presentations in Spanish, English, and French are also welcome.<\/p>\n

About the Catalan Institute of Classical Archaeology (ICAC)<\/h6>\n

The\u00a0Catalan Institute of Classical Archaeology (ICAC-CERCA)<\/a>\u00a0is\u00a0a CERCA center<\/strong>\u00a0established as a consortium in 2003 by the Government of Catalonia and the Rovira i Virgili University. It is a Catalan institution with an international scope, at the forefront of research and conservation of archaeological heritage. Its headquarters are in Tarragona, a city recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000.
