Compilation was completed of my electronic dataset of religious dedications in the diocese of Norwich, about 3,310 entries (Excel spreadsheet), preparatory to deposit with the UK Data Archive. Publications and diffusion flowing this resource begin with a paper in preparation for the 2016 Congress of Byzantine Studies (to be held in August 2016 in Belgrade). This examines, and seeks possible explanations for the significant concentration in the diocese of devotion to the virgin martyr Margaret (119 instances), a saint of the eastern Mediterranean notable also for her cult’s popularity in southern Greece and Italy (71 instances in central and southern Italy, 32 of these in Tuscany) in contrast to her relative absence in France and the Peninsula (for example, 19 occurrences in Catalunya recovered to date).
