The upcoming days of October 20th and 21st will see the celebration of the Second Archaeology and Paleontology Conference of Ponent in Guissona.
These conference days, organized by the Department of Culture, the University of Lleida, the City Council of Guissona, and the Guissona Museum – Iesso Archaeological Park, in collaboration with the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the Catalan Institute of Classical Archaeology, the Institute of Catalan Studies, and the Catalan Institute of Paleontology Miquel Crusafont, aim to present the current state of affairs and the latest developments in archaeological and paleontological activity in recent years, from various perspectives: research, heritage management, knowledge dissemination, and more, throughout the Ponent region (Lleida).
The objective is to offer a cross-sectional view of the state of archaeology in Ponent, with a series of lectures ranging from paleontology to the Spanish Civil War, showcasing the most relevant results of interventions.
The conference will take place at the Guissona Ateneo (45 Bisbal Street, Gallery Room, Guissona).
