The MIRMED-GIAC group has a strong track record in the field of classical archaeology. Created in 2013 as MIRMED, Miradas sobre la Mediterránea en la Antigüedad (Views on the Mediterranean in Antiquity), from East to West, from Protohistory to Late Antiquity, it is an interinstitutional group in classical archaeology, also including the University Rovira i Virgili, URV.
It consists of various research teams from ICAC, URV, and UAB, with a multidisciplinary profile that encompasses a broad perspective of classical archaeology both chronologically (from protohistory to late antiquity) and geographically (within the framework of the Mediterranean Sea).
