Have you ever wondered what secrets Tarragona Cathedral hides?
There’s still a lot to discover, and we’re still investigating!
As part of the III phase of the Tarragona Cathedral project, we have completed a new scan of the architectural ensemble of this historical jewel.
This work, at the hands of the URV Technical School of Architecture (ETSA), has generated an incredible three-dimensional model that will help us deepen the archaeological and architectural research of the construction processes that go from the 1st to the 19th century AD.
Thanks to this model, we will be able to improve the management and conservation of the monument, and also create new ways of disseminating heritage through ICT.
The work has been carried out in recent weeks by professor Agustí Costa and researcher David Moreno, from ETSA-URV, accompanied by our team led by Josep Maria Macias (MIRMED research group).
