The ICAC-CERCA has three consolidated research groups (one of them, interinstitutional with the University Rovira i Virgili, URV), recognized in the SGR-Cat 2021 call from AGAUR (Government of Catalonia).
With around sixty people involved, the different groups and teams work in many fields of archaeology, such as bioarchaeology, computational archaeology, archaeology of cultural landscapes, protohistoric archaeology, or archaeometry and materials studies, among others.
At ICAC-CERCA, we have a multidisciplinary research approach and promote all kinds of collaborations: internal, national, and international. We are CERCA!
It is worth noting that two of the three consolidated research groups at the Institute have female leadership.
