Driven by the center’s management, a new work area has been launched to strengthen the transfer and social impact of the Institute’s research. The Knowledge Transfer and Social Impact Unit (UTIS) works to define and implement a tailored knowledge transfer strategy, in line with the activity and results of the ICAC’s three consolidated and funded research groups (MIRMED-GIAC, GIAP, ArPA-LIRA) and their main research lines.
The UTIS team includes Marta Flórez (coordination), Gilbert Frigola (projects), and Ana Gallego (administrative support). The unit’s mission includes conducting research on archaeology transfer, as well as designing and implementing projects and actions that enhance the social impact of the knowledge generated by the Institute, particularly in terms of cultural resources and territorial development.
